Last few days to book Half Term Farm Club

We have just a few days to go until half term farm club kicks off!

All day farm club sessions are the perfect opportunity to keep kids active, have fun outdoors, and learn all about food, animals and the environment.

We run all day clubs from 9.30am-3pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays in all the school holidays.

They’re open to children aged 5-13 for just £20 a day. All they need to bring is a packed lunch and suitable clothing for the weather that day.

This half term, we’re learning all about bees on Wednesday 29th May. Bees are so important to the environment and agriculture. We’ll have games and activities that teach about pollination and bee communication to all ages; see how bees make honey in an observation hive (clear walled frames so we can see the bees at work); and honey tasting! Don’t worry there shouldn’t be any risk of getting stung- all the bees will be contained!

On Thursday 30th May, Farmer Mark will be hosting a trailer ride around the farm, showing the children where their food comes from. They’ll go to all the crops tasting things they produce along the way; hunt for mini beasts to gain understanding of the link between farming and the environment; and of course meet the pigs!

On both days, the children will get to feed the alpacas (they love meeting new people!) and do some gardening if they’d like to.

All our staff are DBS checked and experienced in working with children on the farm, and we always have first aiders on shift.

If your child has a childrens university passport, don’t forget to bring it along to log their learning hours!
